I was almost included on that list recently.

I jumped under my Milan to do an oil change last month and forgot my keys + remote start button were in my pocket. fucker started up right when i got under it with zero intentional input from me.

Scared the shit out of me ( ALMOST literally)

yea seriously. and it was RIGHT when i got under there, woulda sucked if i had the oil out of it with the drain plug out and the remote start kicked.

keys will no longer be in the pocket during oil changes

Wow. When I was a kid, another guy - a few years older than me - was killed while working on a VW bug in his driveway. Details were sketchy but it involved him getting underneath something while working by himself.

I'm hyper-paranoid anytime I get underneath a vehicle to do work.

I don't think I can properly explain how fast I got out from under that car lol.

I very commonly work solo on my cars, I now have rhino ramps (12000 pound capacity) that I pull the vehicles up on, and I chock the back tires for extra precaution, so much safer than jack/jackstands.

I apparently just need to keep the keys out of my pocket.
